Coffee Lovers

Oh Coffee Lovers... let me introduce you to Yuban. A lady we were chatting with at a restaurant recommended this coffee as a cheaper alternative to starbucks beans at home... and she is right! It's organic; and a good dark blend. I found cans at Target marked down to $3 each. Try it!

Fall Clothing Faves

Well I started looking around for Fall Clothes for the babes. Well I guess I can't call Luke a babe anymore since he isn't using his paci haha. Luke wears babygap 4 or 5T's well... which we still have some that will fit from last year. For Sophia I love Baby Nay, Tralala, Baby Lulu

Now Girls, I get these on ebay because I don't spend THAT much money for a full price outfit from these designers. I found a set of like 6 barely worn outfits for $46. What a deal... $7 for a $50 boutique outfit!!

But a new kind of urban line I love for them both this year is MiniBoden ! They have tons of cute baby, and bigger kid stuff.

Like check out this periwinkle polo:

So handsome for my Luke! And I almost passed out when I saw this orange cord romper for Sweeters...
The tights are on a 17 week backorder- HA!

Oh and this one for her First day of "School" :)
Speaking of the first day of school... was so pleased to see the Luke will be a LadyBug in Ms. Laura's class! And Sophia will be an Angelfish with Ms. Erin.
What are your fall favs? Would love to hear. Leslie I know you have some good ones!!

Bye Bye Paci

And while you may have thought that title referred to Sophia-- I actually mean Luke (gasp!)
I know, I know. Who would've thought a four year old still wanted his paci. But for Luke it was no small feat. Boy did he love that thing. He was without it for I think 8 months until sister was born... but then he stole her pink paci and was back on the bandwagon at 3 years. I thought, this is ridiculous; but it really was the only thing that calmed him down in the car and before bed/while sleeping. So I just let him have it. Probably more for my sanity.

I was getting worried as he passed 4 and still would not give it up. At first he was slightly deterred when I told him it would give him buck teeth-- and showed him a picture of that on the computer. But the Real WIN came from good old Paw Paw, who told him that he would turn blue if he sucked on the paci. And wouldn't you know he believed him- HA! He would hold it and say "mom I really want to put this in my mouth", and I say "no I don't want a blue son" and he would set it back down.

FINALLY IT IS GONE!!!

This is almost as good as the day he finally went poop in the potty :)

First Day

Well today was my first day of nursing school! We have 1/2 days all week so that is nice to help me gear up to full time studentry :) And the classroom has changed a bit in the 8 years since I have been there (wow does that make me feel old!) Every person had their laptops lined up... and the instructor is on video to a distance learning group who can see/hear us and vice versa. So I found an awesome deal on a used Mac laptop on craigslist. Got her for $300, what a steal. So tomorrow I will be up with the times. Gotta go do my reading!

First Time under the knife

Well, I am recovering today from getting my umbical hernia repaired. Damage caused from Sophia being a big basketball in utero :) Went in yesterday around 2pm. It was funny being the patient instead of the caregiver. I had to get an IV (took her 2 tries even with my awesome veins??) Even with the births of my 2 kiddos I did all natural, no pain meds, no IV- so this was a little nerve racking for me. The guy put some stuff in the IV and oxygen over my nose, then I remember briefly seeing the two big discs above my head in the operating room and them pulling my arms to the side... then waking up in recovery. I was pretty groggy but ok. Belly feels like someone punched me in the stomach hard. Tried the pain meds but I barfed :( So switched to just advil and I was able to eat tonight. Nanny has helped with the kids, and Christen was awesome to bring them clothes and drive them to school so I could rest. Which is pretty much what I did today. (other than get some signatures on a contract, negotiate a counter offer, and show the duplex next door) Ahhhh- it's always something :)

Wayne took a picture of me on his new iphone when I was waking up- I'll post it if it's not too scarey haha.

And on a brighter note... I am an AUNTIE again!!! My sis was a trooper this morning and gave birth to her fourth babe, third girl--- Ms. Laine Ashlynn Zimmerman. I am eagerly awaiting pics from Aunt Jess. Wish I could have been there...

isaiah 61:3
…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.
