It was a rough week; we ended up finding a urologist to see Wayne on Friday afternoon in Newport News (about 30 min. away). But another bad night friday sent us to the hospital on saturday. His doctor had planned to do a surgery to get the stone out... but literally right before they wheeled him down it decided to come out. Praise God no surgery! So he is recovering and starting to feel more himself. I hope he never gets another one!
Pray for Wayne as he has a kidney stone :( It all started with severe pain yesterday at 5:30am. We headed to the ER and they were able to give him some pain meds that worked after a while- but it was very bad for him. Still in bed today so pray it comes out and that he can go back to work and everything.
So I was one of those people who swore they would never drive a minivan... but I think I may have changed my mind. We rented a van to drive down for our trip to Florida; one with the two bucket seats in the middle row. Luke's seat went nicely into one bucket; clipped his dvd player conveniently in front of him.... and there was so much room! You can fold down the back seat into the floor for even more room too. Now I know why people drive vans. Plus with Wayne's SUV, once we add baby we won't really have room for anyone else to ride- so I am thinking about a Toyota Sienna. A 2003 or 2004 with low miles. What do you think about vans girls??
My new blog song... Moves me because God HAS stolen my heart and I am so happy to be in relationship with Him ! What a Saviour. So Turn up That Volume, Lift your Hands and be Prepared to Worship!
Every tree and every stone Every rushing wind that moans They sing Your praise My God, they sing Your praise Every star and open sky Tell of Your glory divine They shout Your praise They shout Your praise, yeah
You’ve stolen my heart Yes, You have! You’ve stolen my heart Yes, You have! You’ve wiped away the stains And broke away the chains Yes, You have!!
With Your love You set me free Three nails gave me liberty So I’ll sing Your praise My God, I’ll sing Your praise Oh, with Your love You forgave my sin Forgot my past And brought me back again So I’ll sing Your praise I’ll sing Your praise, yeah
Got back last night from our trip and we really had a great time! I would highly recommend where we went for a family vacation. The area they refer to as the Beaches of 30-a (highway 30A) and it is a string of these neat beach communities. Each has their own unique architecture. All have great parks, little shops and eateries. Everyone walks and rides bikes around. You see families everywhere playing catch and having good quality fun. Seaside was our favorite community-- I think they filmed the that Jim Carrey movie there and it fits the bill of the perfect little neighborhood.
We are heading out this afternoon for a road trip to Florida's Santa Rosa Beach. Located in the panhandle where we will find bahamas like white sand beaches, clear water, and hopefully some warm sun! And driving we are... Wayne and I have never taken a road trip actually/ we usually fly. But we are taking his mom, and decided to stop half way in Savannah GA to visit some of his family there too on the way.
Looking forward to some time together as a fam. Wayne could really use some R&R with the workload he has been carrying. His best friend Tim and wife Kathy I believe will also be coming up to see us, so that will be so nice also.
My sister Jess and brother-in-law Curtis are expecting their first little one in August. She is ten weeks behind me... she kept telling me how huge she was and I had to laugh when I got her picture. That is barely a belly Jess :) You are too cute! One name they are considering is Owen, I really hope they pick it b/c I just love that name. I can just imagine giving him lots of smooches already!
So when our baby comes, then Jess's... that will mean mom and dad you have SIX grandkids ! ! ! I think about us three girls growning up and now having children, and it warms my heart. Love you sisters.
