lil sweet pea.

Here she is... I am enjoying her more and more! She likes to sit in her crib in the morning and likes her fuzzy "nani" on her head
She is alert and nosy and likes to see what's going on

She likes watching her fish mobile (thanks aunt Christina)
She smiles when Poppy says "hi sweet pea!"

She likes to snooze in the swing
Better with paci and little nani snugged by her face :)

Welcome to 'My Traila'

So here is our new weekend getaway in the Outer Banks... we call it the beach house or the RV, Luke calls it 'my traila'. Which is funny because a good portion of Wayne's extended family lives in trailers in SC; and this is the start of a lot of funny family banter! Wayne jokes with his mom that somewhere in New York there is a family wondering where is my son :) So it is ironic that we have our own trailer- haha.

But we really do love it! Sleeps 6. Kitchen, Bath- All you need. The covered deck is the best, you can sit outside and visit, play cards, read. Luke can putz around close by and I don't have to worry. Everyone already knows the mayor. I found him next door with 3 14 year old girls teaching them the Mambo last week! He is so funny.

Eating Nanny's Egg Salad- a true treat!

With Cousin Caleb- Funny goggles!

Mama and her boy :) We like to have picnics on the grass.

Surfin'... poppy says he has great balance

Me and the girl at the beach!

Luke is already a better swimmer than I! He goes under and loves it.

He's Here!

My little sister Jess and her husband Curtis welcomed their first son, Dayton Michael Vandermoere friday! I must have called her twenty times the day before and of... I was so nervous being far away it was killing me. She was induced the night before and water broke around 7... and he was born around 10am! Go Jess! And love the name.

He weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz., just one ounce smaller than Sophia :) He is so cute... can't wait to meet him.

Take 5

I love a little sweet here and there... and if you haven't, try a Take 5! It has a pretzel on the inside, along with caramel and peanut butter: all covered in chocolate. A yummy chocolaty, peanutly, salty indulgence! The couple times I've had one, I had to eat it while Luke was at school (he's allergic to peanuts)... and when I picked him up, he immediately said without me saying but hello, "I smell yer peanut". Can you believe he knows that is peanut smell even though he has only tasted it once?? I am glad; that he knows he is allergic and to what!
