Did you see Mckmama designed a shirt? Unfolding... He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Isn't that encouraging? Thank God He is not done or leaving me where I am at. But his beautiful plan is unfolding as a live. Wow!

Also changed my song :) This song warmed my heart and listen to the end b/c the girl who chimes in with Third Day is just angelic. Gotta check her out- Flyleaf's Lacey Mosley who has a great testimony.

Oh, and by the way- that plum dress I posted about is AMAZING. Wore it all weekend at the beach. Totally loved the tube top tie choice. And it is knee length and flowy. You should get one.

Memorial Weekend

We left Thursday for our first weekend at the Beach Traila... just an hour's drive to beach bliss :) We took Caleb with us so Luke would have a Buddy. Spent some time cleaning and such-- Wayne had been up last weekend to install baby gates on the deck. Because Sophia in the last week has really started walking around! She is too cute with her chubby little bow legs tottling around here and there. Barefoot mostly- Doesn't like her shoes.

We usually grill out but one night went to a brewery b/c they boasted an outdoor play thing for kids- perfect! We can eat and not have to worry about kids being loud, or sitting in their chair. And we all had a great time.

Much rather be eating this scrumptious tuna appetizer with my honey :)

We made it to church on sunday too... we started going to Nagshead church last summer. Home of Nate- Confessions of a CF Husband. I was a little star struck when I dropped Sophia off in the Nursery and Gweneth was there! She is so famous hee hee. Maybe you mommy bloggers might think that was cool.

So it was a great weekend. And looking forward to friday or saturday when my mom and dad are coming to visit for a week!!!! Can't wait to see you guys!

Crock Pottin' it

I really am not a great cook at all. I love eating fine food out- but awesome meals at home will never be my forte. I've come to grips. I had high aspirations when I first got married, trying to make yummy fish recipes and such- and some did turn out great. But I was forcing it- haha. You either got it or you don't. And I have never LOVED food like some. Cereal or some noodles and cheese would be fine for me. Oh but I have a husband, poor husband.... :) So I continue to try.

So I got a nice crock from Target a few weeks ago so I could make Judy's recommended Slow-Cooker Spicy Country Ribs... and wow, wow were they good! Especially with these homemade Sweet Potato Biscuits. Try them both out with cole slaw, girls, and it will be a home run!

And speaking of all things crock pot, stop by Stephanie's blog: A year of Crockpotting
This girl cooked in a crock pot EVERYDAY in 2008 (Yes you read that right!). I picked her Brown Sugar Chicken and Mongolian Beef to make this week. I'll let ya know how they turn out!

Grandma Hunt *you can see her raking in the very back corner of the pics:)- has these beautiful rose bushes across the back of her property line. I was delighted to see them as they weren't in full bloom at Easter time. I love flowers on a sunny day. And so did Sweet Pea

Grandma said that Pop Pop had planted them and wanted them to go all the way across the back of the yard. We all Miss you Pop Pop. (He passed two yrs ago this June on Lukey's birthday from cancer)

Happy Mothers Day to Me

Got a Title Nine catalog in the mail and this dress caught my eye... you can wear it a bunch of different ways, see:

A skirt

A Halter dress (minus the big muscles haha)

A tube dress- ties in back
Perfect for my summer days at the beach.
Think I'll order the plum and it shall be my mother's day treat :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Num Num

Now Sister and her SIX teeth (yes four came in all at once on top- fun times)... is quite the eater. She wants to get her hands on anything and everything that you have. For example, I start eating an apple- and "pig dog" (a loving phrase we use in our family if you're being a hog) takes my apple.

And tears it up. Isn't that nose scrunch face too cute!

She ate her own little bowl of Poppy's homemade spaghetti tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Guess we will be skipping over Gerber 1's and 2's haha.

We're Baaaack :)

Well we are back and had an amazing time cruising on the Disney Magic!

Now this was our first cruise, and we did take both kids... so everything went well aside from the normal amount of meltdowns and misbehavin' :) The boat itself was beautiful- and I have to say the staff had everything down to a "T". Our little maid cleaned the cabin twice a day (will miss that heehee), and at night turned down the sheets and opened Luke's pull out, and made a fun animal out of a towel. Plus he would leave chocolates. Luke loved seeing what animal and more importantly how many chocolates each night!

They provided a "navigator" each day with about 300 different things to do around the boat. Character greetings and pictures, music shows, BINGO (yay!), dancing, family games, and whatever you could think of. Luke could go to the Oceaneer Club whenever he wanted. He usually went twice-- they page you when child is ready to be picked up. Which for Luke was probably when he started acting like a hot mess haha.

He wore his pirate hat, sword everywhere; and continually whined- I mean talked me into- buying him two more hooks, a little parrot he named Polly to put on his arm, two eye patches, a sword that glowed and made noise, and two telescopes-- and I think that is it. Who knew I was such a pushover :)

The top deck had several pool areas, one just for kids. Enjoyed that area a lot. Sweeters did not take to the water. She yelled when I put her feet in the water... so no young fish here. She did although start WALKING! She will take 3 or 4 steps to you, so cute. And that was on a rockin boat, so we will see how it goes on land now!

The port stops were ok. Tortola was disappointing- no shopping or real beach. I bet they don't stop there again. But our lunch was yummy. On St. Thomas we took a scenic truck ride. The guide was recommended on tripadvisor. I was thinking an hour, but 2 later I was ready to be done. I was slap happy as he kept stopping to run and get us plant leafs to smell- and it was just funny after a while. But a fun memory. Luke was scared of the high hills (straight up)-- but Sophia was laughing and about hanging out of the truck. So she will be the dare devil like Wayne :) At least he has someone to go with him! We tried some native food at their Carnival-- then went back to the boat early because there were so many people I was nervous about losing Luke. One last stop at Disney's Castaway Cay Island- which was a fun beach day for all. Except for Sophia who again yelled when I tried to put her in the water.

Our camera got left (no names mentioned) on the top of St. Thomas :( I bought a kodak disposable so will have to work on getting pics up. Boo-Hoo
